  • BEGINNER WING LESSONS

    Want to try wing foiling for the first time, but prefer to do this with personal attention from one of our pro brothers? We offer individual beginners lessons. During these sessions Tonky or Taty Frans will take you thru the basics of wing foiling, starting on the beach and eventually on the water. You will learn the equipment, balancing yourself, how to sail up and down and just experience the basics of wing foiling.

  • GROUP LESSONS

    Want to learn how to windsurf but do not want to do it alone? We offer groups lessons! A great way to learn something new, with your own group, while having some good fun!

    In this course we will teach you the basics of windsurfing and equipment, getting on the board, sailing back and forth, steering and turning and general safety.

    Are you a group that already has some beginners skills and want to improve your skills to be more intermediate, we can adapt the lessons to your own level. The group lessons are for a maximum of 5 people.

  • PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

    Once you are a comfortable on your windsurfing gear and you understand the basics we will take you to the next steps. Starting with wearing a harness. Using a harness will save your energy and is essential for providing stability when planning at high speed. Already wearing a harness? Footstraps, and planning are also part of the intermediate lessons.

  • TODDLERS LESSONS

    Have a kid that is younger than 7 years but still wants to have some fun on the windsurf gear? We offer a 30 minute fun lesson for kids 6 years or younger! They get a chance to hop on the board and have fun on the water with one of the Frans Brothers!

Tonky and Taty run The Frans Paradise partly out of  a painted container located near the event site on Lac Bay, Sorobon Beach. To find them drive or walk all the way towards the end and look for their little shop along the beach as you approach the event site, not far from the fishing boats. All four windsurf shops on Bonaire are located on the same stretch of Beach at Sorobon. Make sure to follow the road all the way to the fisherman’s pier and you won’t miss The Frans Paradise. ​

Absolutely! Windsurfing is a sport that welcomes beginners, and many people start learning it without any prior sports experience.

Bonaire is windy throughout the year but there are periods with more chance of wind.

Flight: The main point of entry to Bonaire is Flamingo International Airport (BON). You’ll need to book a flight to Bonaire from an international airport. Many visitors connect through larger Caribbean hubs or fly directly from Europe or the Americas.

International Hubs: Depending on your location, you might find flights that connect through major airports in the region, such as Miami International Airport (MIA) or Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). Check with airlines for the most convenient routes from your departure point.

Airlines: Several international airlines operate flights to Bonaire. Some of them include KLM, Delta, American Airlines, United, TUI, and others. Be sure to compare prices and flight schedules to find the best option for your travel dates.

Travel Documents: Ensure you have a valid passport and check if you need a visa to enter Bonaire. Bonaire is a special municipality of the Netherlands, so depending on your nationality, different rules may apply.

Local Transportation: Once you land at Flamingo International Airport, you can take a taxi or rent a car to reach your accommodation. Bonaire is a relatively small island, and getting around by car is a common and convenient option.

Boat: While less common, there are also cruise ships that visit Bonaire. If you’re on a cruise, Bonaire might be one of the ports of call.
